The Hoola-Hoopla and the 100th one !!

Most of you might have guessed from the title as to what this is going to be all about.

Nevertheless let me just say it. Yes it's about Sachin Tendulkar.

This person I feel has achieved almost everything you want in this game. He has been the captain, the backbone of the team, the part time bowler- turned- savior, the highest run-getter, an icon to the almost entire cricket fraternity and what not.. To top it all, wining the World Cup has probably made his career come full circle.

He's been a part of teams that ranged from being tagged the best ones to worst ones. One thing that has remained constant is his ever-lasting love for the game and the sole objective of being able to play. Just Play !

For a long time now, everybody has been talking about this person and the record he is on the verge of. Everybody, except one person - Sachin Tendulkar

The media goes in a frenzy, people start speculations, twitter trending begins, facebook shows what's on people's minds and this person is there out in the field just like any other day in office !
Yes, he knows that the nation may pause for a second or more, yes an entire nation, if he achieves what everyone is waiting for.

Amongst all this there is a segment of criticizers, analyzers who have thoughts of their own. A few typical ones :
# "India never wins when Sachin plays well"
# "Sachin only plays for himself and not the team"
# "He is always nervous in the ninties"

I say..Ok..so.. your point is .. ??

Aren't these thoughts individualistic? If not, aren't these based on the buzz surrounding all this.
Why in the world, does such a thought come into your mind?

Trying to carve out a niche for yourself, then better do it against a plethora of people who think otherwise.
Sachin never said "I am Great". He never said "I am the best". He never said "I am a match winner". He never said "I can always score a 100". He never said anything. Period.

I confess that I am a huge Sachin fan. But this advocacy is not a result of me being a fan. It is something that disturbs me with regard to this segment's inability to comprehend these facts.

I will rather certainly have these same strong reactions, for any blatant criticism against Rahul Dravid or Anil Kumble or VVS Laxman. For those, who know the game and the people who play it, will understand why specifically these names have been mentioned.

And precisely yes, none of these, none, have self claimed greatness. Then why do you single out Sachin. Let the blatant criticism engulf these people. Why the leniency in some cases?

What I probably feel is, greater the buzz, louder you go against, better "footage" you get !
What utter crap, if this is true !!

This person has been relentlessly doing his job for the past 22 years. Can everybody just cut him some slack and let him do what he does best. Play. !!

I am sure he is more than eager to achieve what everybody wants him to do. For God's sake, it's his personal milestone in the first place. Whether the team wins as result of that or not is a different story altogether. The nation's expectations being fulfilled is the last facet in this scenario. Yes, I may seem confused by saying that it's his personal milestone, but then why not.

Why should not a person doing his job for a duration, most of the cricketing fraternity has never seen before, consider it his personal milestone ?

How often do you find a person with mega massive achievements and not going ballistic about them. How often do you find a person being criticized for things which are beyond his control and he not retaliating back. How often do you find a person getting along equally well with his team mates - young or old. How often do you find a person so good at what he does and being criticized at the same time for not being the best.

I fail to understand this Hoola-Hoopla, completely, in the entire sense of it.

Let the man do his job. Let him enjoy. Learn from him and you will enjoy too.

A Legend that he is, hope his legacy continues !

Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar - A salute !

Void.

I had never been wanting something so badly in my life...

Never had this feeling, craving, the "why not?" feeling....
I always accepted what came to me naturally, without hassles, without any
extravagant efforts and nothing "awesome" in general.

But this time its different. I want it to happen and want it to happen
badly...too badly I can say !! What prompted this, that I don't know and even
I cant understand. Why this is happening is another big question for me. Its
complicated... Its really complicated.. heavily !!

Sometimes I feel its just a test...and I might as well get success in it.
Tests are supposed to be for something which you know. But in this case .. I
think, I am just heading into it without even a glimpse of the syllabus.
The more I think about it, the more confusing it gets.

Its been a pretty easy journey for me up till now... I mean comparatively,
yes, its been good. But this one thing, I am struggling a lot ..

I think it is going to be one hell of a journey...

I win it or lose it .. Only time will tell . But one thing is for sure .. I
am going to fight for it .. fight for it hard .. This one thing I have to
struggle for... and I will take it head-on !

P.S : - Now that you have read it, let the speculations begin and prevail !!!

The Day after SRT !! - A Tribute

The evening of April 23rd 1973 was an ordinary one you would think, Lord our god was havin a regular day, his friends were outside playing cricket. He wanted to join but was too busy making designs & attending to complaints. His friends mocked him, his mom was like, "atta kuthehi jaycha naiye khelayla.kama kara!".He so wanted to play.but determined & powerful as he was he said, "Baas, udya dakhavtoch!". then dawned the pious morning of 24th April 1973 & his show that started on February the 15th 1989 hasn't stopped!

That was the day mankind was blessed with hope, talent, determination, inspiration & that smacking cover-drive. God said "let there be a player for those who can't play, cuz maybe they are busy, have duties, are ill equipped in any way, have dreams, lack determination, need inspiration, need addictions, need something to take their mind off things, are disabled, basically for all mortals.Karachi drew flak but confirmed entry, But ."Mai Khelega" hinted longevity & determination.

Manchester '90 hinted at genius, Chennai '93 claimed singularitySydney '92 meant prodigal; Perth '92 was magical, Colombo '94 implied belonging; Nottingham '96 confirmed geniusCape Town '97 was princely, Sharjah '98 confirmed coronationDhaka '99 displayed performance; Bristol '99 showed passion, responsibility & emotions Chepauk '99 was tragic, hinted human; Chepauk '99 & '08 confirmed peerless & granted redemption Natwest '03 showed adaptability & commitment, Sydney '04 hinted @ sainthood, Dhaka '04 was comeback, Hamilton '09 was Supremacy Re-BornSydney '08 exorcised the demons; Eden Gardens '10 was another step.Jaipur'10 confirmed God! Wankhede, Mumbai '11 should not matter.

Forest Gump was a fictitious character who ran for little more than 3 years & won Oscars, this man (?) has been running for more than 20 and still draws flak for the Ferrari! The journey from Shivaji Park to Wankhede of little more than 10 kms takes about 30 minutes by local train, this particular one has lasted 21 years and features more than 30000 instances of running up & down that 22 yard strip. Sometime in the near future he will stop running, take off his guards, hang his boots as they say, put his feet up & enjoy a cheesy-fatty burger & beer for breakfast. Slowly he will be able to do the small things he craves like having the Kirti college wada-pav, hanging out at Marine drive with old pals, not driving the Ferrari, attending award functions or having dinner at Hilton. Sometime in the near future the shoulders will heave a sigh of relief, the fingers will straighten, the heels will cool, the painkillers will stop, the lower back support will come off and the only the eyes will moisten at mentions of Chepauk, Sharjah, Perth & Shivaji Park. He will have done his part, it's another matter whether the people will be satisfied or not. It's not in his hands. Math suggests he will have, but destiny takes over where math ends. We can just Hope & pray.

It's a reality we have to face; and the sooner we accept it the better it will be for us. Ours is a country living in nostalgia & hope, nothing wrong in that. But, sometimes in reminiscing & dreaming we forget to revere the present. Remember in school when after a typical mathematics exam we used to ask the teacher, "Will we get marks for steps?" We had an idea the answer will be wrong, but somehow to us that didn't mean we had not put in efforts. To our parents it always did. Ends should not be a judge of the commitment put in the means. Remember how our parents did not let us go out for a night out to our friend's farmhouse cuz we were too young @ 17 to do that & it was outside city limits? He was 16, travelling to a country with whom we had fought 3 wars, which remains to this day our biggest enemy & whose bowlers thought that getting a batsman 'out' was to get him to not be physically able to play the next delivery. From the foggy, bloody Karachi morning of February 15th, the dusty Sharjah night, the chilly Manchester morning, the hot Chepauk afternoon to the divine Jaipur evening the journey has attracted all the adjectives this language had to offer. Now we resort to mere sounds, intonations & swear words."Gacchi dakhavli.", "Kadak!", "aaaaaaiiicchhhya gaavat!!!" & "baba laagle" sadly cannot be termed as adjectives.

Coaching, sport merchandising, FMCG & advertising industries were riding solely on him for years, more critics & 'experts' have made money on him than you can imagine, more people must have retired from cricket after he started playing than people appearing on reality shows, every time a teenager shined, his throne was said to be in danger. But he stood. Lasted. All the Graeme Hicks, Saeed Anwars, Inzamams, Pietersens, Pontings, Shane Warnes, Wasim & Waqars, Donalds of the world have come and gone, they just were not enough to deter him. There is no proof that the sun will rise tomorrow, but in this world of seeming chaos there is one order that it is impossible to hide the sun after he rises. There will be prodigies, there will be displays of brilliance, statistics suggests that there might even be someone who will manage to score more runs...but will there be a better on-drive, a more sonorous cover-drive, more conviction in a straight drive, more nirvana in that raised bat, a more joyous celebration of a wicket? Will there be another one? No. End of debate.

This might be sounding a bit pessimistic cuz I am talking about the end of something which all of us who have held a willow fathom, but only because it took me a while to realize that yes we are having difficulties with comprehending what we will do when he is not around anymore, whom will we look up to, where will we dump our sadness? What will unite us? But the bigger problem which we selfishly seem to have overlooked is what will HE do? Not that he is incapable of doing anything else, cuz only God knows what he has created with so much attention & what are his creation's limits, but we seem to think of him as a machine that has been producing since the ribbon was cut 20 years back. We have no memory of him not being around. He has just been there, taken for granted. Just like the sun...

There came a time when he was riding a tiger in search of the tiger; the tiger he was, he knew, he owned & controlled. He was deciphered, figured out, if the critics were to be believed. The believers were quiet & confident. It's been 6 years since a leading newspaper printed an iniquitous headline, 'Endulkar?', I await the day when ill have the power to say to them "In your face!" that is what makes him different from us, he doesn't think about retribution, he thinks about duty. Taoism says 'be vacant & you shall remain full'; he emptied himself, went back to where it started & retraced his steps and as always just like after the eclipse the sun is brighter he came back stronger. He knew he had the ability, he knew he loved doing it; he had to make his body believe in his love. Today he is truly the Tao of Cricket. I weep for the future of cricket as a visual attraction medium. The silence that follows his wicket is said to be the loudest sound in sports, let us make a deal that the applause that will be heard on his last day on the field shall be one of the most resonating sounds in sporting history. So I ask you all today to clap and contribute to the decibel levels, because the sound needs to reach the heavens, God needs to be told that we are thankful. Gather your tears because we need to repay the sweat. Stand up, fold your hands, close your eyes and worship because none of us will be alive to see another remotely like him.

It won't matter if next time you think you can't pull something off & don't remember 143@ Sharjah, next time you think you are in pain & can't think of 136 @ Chennai or 140 @Bristol, next time you think you can't find a way but don't remember 241 @ Sydney...but remember, every time that you feel your feet are above the ground think of Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar.

We owe him that much...

Cheers & Good Luck to everyone for WC '11...

Insanity is... Catchy !!!

Never thought that I would write a movie review !! But this movie is definitely worth it...

The movie : Shutter Island --- is one hell of a watch !!

The Genre : Suspense Thriller -- Don't worry, its not the regular types !! Its a Psycho-Suspense Thriller !!

The cast : Leonardo DiCaprio, Ben Kingsley, Mark Ruffalo -- to name a few, are a bunch of people who act and when they act they do it in style !!

The direction : Martin Scorsese --- the director, has created an amazing piece worth all the applause that it can get !!

The book : Dennis Lehane --- who has the credit of authoring the book "Shutter Island", this man must have some amazing thoughts and visionary abilities !!

The movie is about a Federal Marshals - Edward "Teddy" Daniels (Leo) and his sidekick Chuck (Mark Ruffalo) who get assigned to a case at Ashecliffe, a mental institution on Shutter Island. Once there, they have to figure out how a patient Rachel Solando disappeared from the island while under watch from the guards. But when they start digging they realize that not everything may be as it seems.

The movie moves on from investigations to doubting to allegations and finally to.. confusions and mega massive problematic insanities !!

What catches you is the way the movie has been put together. It works and works hard to keep you caught up. It is, so nicely arranged that you keep on thinking attentively and you do that happily.

This psycho-suspense thriller is one good way, which proves that you don't need jump scares nowadays to really make an audience feel disturbed and that too without being disgusted !!

One shortcoming though is the editing of the movie. Its not that great with some bits and pieces going haywire and clearly visible. But on the other side, if this has been a deliberate attempt to keep the "insanity" going, then yes, I must say- A good job done !!

Overall, Shutter Island is a great and suspenseful thriller that is well told, well acted, well written and well directed --- ending in an apt dilemma :

"Which would be worse : To live as a monster or die as a good man...."

Water Cooler Moments...

I have been longing to post these series for a long time...!!
So finally starting it .....

Every Sunday, the Times of India, page no 19 is one hell of a information treasure trove..!! But along with it comes a nice little column named "Water Cooler Moment" by Vandana Agarwal.

The column, for me is, like the most awaited read for the weekend! Its too good to give it a miss..
Its usually a chilled out, funny and a typical "office time pass", conversational take on the happenings around the world. And now that I do get to spend time in the office (especially at the water cooler), the column has become all the more appealing to me...!!

So here start the Moments - The Water Cooler Moments :

Eruption Disruption

Ay-yah-fyah-lah-yoh-kuu

Yes, I also think that the water is not so cool, but that's no reason to swear in public.

I said Eyjafjallajokull. That's the name of the volcano that's erupting in Iceland. But some journos who can't pronounce it while reporting from there have simply shortened it to E15

That sounds more like the secret service than a short tempered volcano!

Well, it's got 15 letters. Not counting the E of course.

How come we didn't read about this volcano in our school books?

The NCERT must have tried but probably couldn't print the name correctly and gave up!

Had they done so, our teachers were such sadists they would have probably set its as an exam question!

While the rest of Europe is in a tizzy, the 317,000 Icelanders can hardly be bothered. They are too busy promoting the place as a tourist destination.

Hotspot, you mean! They could do with the money.Iceland went bankrupt tin 2008. The joke is that when Iceland's economy died, its last wish was the ashes be spread across Europe!

RIP. Their economy can now rest in peace.

And so can the airline industry....

अट्टाहास ... !!!

Here's a poetic piece penned down by one of my friends..
I found it amazing...

Shallow Perceptions....

Weird morning to wake up to...

The first view, from my usual good old balcony was that of a huge monstrous JCB (earth mover) tearing down the house that stood besides our building for God knows how many years...!!

The effort put in by the JCB was minimal... It felt like the hand of God is taking down things and destroying mother earth... What a spectacle ... !!!

Then the realisation dawned... I did not know why the house was being taken down or even who stayed there !!!!
What a thought... You get up in the morning, first sight of the world you see is that of destruction and you don't even know why is the destruction taking place and even more weird.. who stayed at that place ?

It was a regular house which stood at the same place everyday, and I didn't even care to observe it properly...
It was not my house, neither did any of my friends/relatives/family stayed there, neither was I going to be affected by its "demise"... But it was a perfect example of taking things for granted...

What struck me the most was, how we live everyday just because we have a life, not observing, not caring, and taking things for granted. And then a day comes when something is lost and we repent.. I guess this is human tendency !!!

Yes it surely turned out to be a philosophical morning... but helped me to dig deeper and think harder.. and yes... observe, care and take note of things happening around...!!

Shallow perceptions... yes indeed.. shallow perceptions .. !!

Better gear up for something deeper... !!

Indian Sports Ministry hates F1 !!! Complete CRAP !!

Today, my early morning went berserk when I read the TOI front page which had a news article which said something absolutely horrendous...

On detailed inspection I realized that it was the Indian Sports ministry's reply to JPSK Sports appeal for conducting a F1 race in India.

What was more humiliating and disgusting is that the ministry blatantly denied any permission to the JPSK group. The reason... " The basic premise is that F1 is not needed in India and the money can be spent on development of disciplines which have a wider base in the country".
“F1 is not purely sports. It is entertainment and this venture by JKSP is a commercial initiative.”

What the f*** do they mean by "F1 is not purely sports" ? Do they even know what F1 actually is ? Have they even tried watching a F1 race, leave alone understanding it.. ?
And what does "...purely sports" mean?? Are they partially agreeing that it is a sport?? If they are actually partially agreeing.. then what is the point in denying the permission ??

What are they actually worried about ??
1. That other sports will loose the audience??
2. That they won't get the share of the moolah if JKPS runs the entire show??
3. Or is it that their lack of knowledge redg the SPORT will be thrown out in the public.. ??

If it is any of these questions.. I don't see it as a major problem.. These so called Sports Ministry people are "well qualified" to handle such small issues..

If they are worried about the loss of audience then I am sure that after cricket the sport that has a major considerable chunk of audience is F1... !! If they say football.. then they need to ask themselves which is the latest INDIAN football match they have seen..??
If they say hockey.. then just try to list down all the players in the Indian hockey team..

"The money (spent on F1) can be spent on development of disciplines which have a wider base in the country".

Wow what a statement..what choice of words !!! great work guys...!!

But could you please clear what does "wider base" mean ?? If it means popularity.. then conduct a survey and you will get the answers from the horse's mouth..
If it means ability/capability of our athletes.. then its actually your fault that you have not done anything to help aspirant drivers to join F1..

I mean what is the problem with these people?? Don't they want to the country to progress/be recognized as a major sporting country??

Just imagine the kind of boost that F1 will give to the motor sport industry in India..

If they can talk about the competitive level of the game.. then why can't they spend a little time in understanding what the game is all about ??
F1 athletes are the fittest athletes in the world.. Do any other athletes playing any other sport face forces up to 5G ?? (If they don't know what it means by 5G.. then why in the world are these people SPORT ministers??) .. Do these people know what kind of endurance the F1 drivers need to go through??

I am sure that if these people would have known all that I have talked about over here... then quite honestly they would not have dared to make such statements with these imbecile words.. !!

Sports Ministry people please wake up.. Realize the potential of F1.. understand the game.. and yes... IT IS WORTH THE MONEY AND THE EFFORTS THAT YOU THINK IS A WASTE...

Do anything.. conduct a survey.. hold high level discussions... take a poll.. make a visit to a F1 race... watch it on TV... visit various F1 communities... call F1 experts to give seminars...
But please by the love of GOD please.......please... don't deny this SPORT to the Indian audience...!!!

Think... please rethink...

Reality.....?? My Foot .... !!

So... What exactly does reality television stand for ??
1. Entertainment..
2. Just plain truths..
3. utter disgusting planning and controversial methods just to gain popularity or in this case TRP

It is obvious that people will have different opinions about this... Some may say all three or some may say that option 3 is best suited...

Lets clear some basics... TV channels air these so called reality shows to increase their TRP's... arre business karna hai na...!! But in this age of cut throat competition, is reality TV the only way to do good business?? ... What happened to the creative minds, what happened to pure fun, frolic and pure LOL ??

Defining entertainment is difficult as it is relative term... having said so lets take a look at it..

Entertainment : something affording pleasure, diversion, or amusement, esp. a performance of some kind

Lets take a few examples... Sach Ka Samna, Splitsvilla , Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao, Rakhi ka Swayamvar and loads more... (don't get any wrong ideas.. i do not watch any of these !!)..
These are so called the "prime reality entertainment shows"... what entertainment?? Putting a bunch of people together and creating situations where they fight, b**ch around and go on insulting each other on national tv ????????? .... wow definitions do change quickly and with great magnitude I must say !!

What happened to entertainment in form of Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, FRIENDS, Dekh Bhai Dekh, Khichadi ..... Have people stopped watching these serials??? Is entertainment now concerned only with melodrama, b**ching reality or with controversies created by imbeciles ???

Now there will be an argument stating "popularity" reasons.... what popularity ?? The one due which people will remember you due to your foul language or the on due to your senseless cheap comments about other people ??? Was sarabhai family not popular? Was FRIENDS not the most watched and the most complete fun serial ever ??

Agreed that those were not reality serials but then they entertained right?? Is that only cruel and insensitive reality scales the popularity charts??

Even game shows appear to be rigged...
How come celebrities earn loads of money when they participate in these shows?? I don't know a single show that has shown a celebrity loosing out .... (now don't tell me celebrities are clever and all !!) Also they claim to donate their prize money to charities... yeah right... has anybody checked up later... Income Tax people pls do the needful !!

Once a participant looses out in a reality show.... goes out.. stays dormant.. and once the show is over re-surfaces and whoa we have controversies galore ... entertainment indeed !!
Then we have the cayotees (obviously..news channels) scrambling all over ... !! These channels are experts cooks I must say... get some raw news, apply loads of masala (hype), use a high strong and horrible sounding anchor... and wholla.. we have a damn good recepie... !!

C'mon people...
think over.. Are we really enjoying this?? Is this "real" entertainment at the cost of someone's character??.. Even politicians have started to understand this...!! (gr8.. so now that we know that even politicians actually do have brains, lets start thinking ourselves ..!!)

If these people at TV channels are so good at "creating this f**king reality", why not use the expertise in creating something genuinely entertaining ?? Are they afraid to loose out TRP's... Remember diversification is one way to scale up the ratings !!

Anyways... what else can I do besides penning down my thoughts.. hoping for some brightness to descend in "their" darkened, hard shelled brains... !!

2 days on the 4th floor ...

Strange title ... I agree .. But as it is said .... More you conceal more interesting it gets...

the 2 days I am referring to were spent in a very ... what to say ... unique way....
the 4th floor obviously is that of the building ....

The only different thing about the building was that.. it was a Hospital... !!

No... don't get any ideas... i was not the patient ... The time that we spent there was all due to a freak and stupid yet funny accident that one of my friend met with ....

She was on her way to a theatre to watch Delhi 6 ... and then it happened ... burst went her activa's tyre and she fell down on her head ... !!

What was more interesting and rather curious was that before, we people who were some distance behind her, a puncture shop guy reached to her ... !!! It was truly something to think on ....

Nyways now that we have a vivid picture of what happened ... lets continue... from the title ...

There she was on the hospital bed after all the tests .. fine, rocking and heartily laughing away at the accident ... (Yup... the accident was not a serious one) ..

Now we have a lady patient admitted to a ladies ward ... and a dozen male friends to be with her .
(yeah... there were lady friends too...but in extremely miniscule numbers)
The doc gave all of us a gr8 thrashing.... not for the numbers in which we were present.... but regarding the use of helmets....

As we were all lazying around waiting for her to get a discharge.. 2 days were spent astonishingly surprisingly well ... (a hospital not being the best place to spend your time w/o reason)

Loads of things were discussed ranging from..... what exactly caused the accident (role of the puncture guy) to why are we doing the course we are in right now ....
We did come up with answers .... but mostly and aptly for the last question ...
We did hv a candid answer for the last question from one of our lady friend and we termed it as
"future familistic approach"....

3 of our male friends were so busy ... that even the doctors looked to be lazying around ...
What they were actually doing or atleast claiming to do was something called
"Big (bazaar) Research"
And yes that turned out to be surprisingly true.. as they made their presentation after 2 days... thereby getting accolades from our so called... not competent... overly impulsive... prof.

We did have some thought provoking... mind churning sessions.. and in the end we had the entire class visiting our lady ... who was supposed to be the patient ....

And not to forget ... the canteen at the hospital was ... I have to say ... a good one ...

Though we never had these discussions with the "patient" ... I hope this serves as an ever unending reminder for her ... !!!

Also ... we had this "patient" of ours as the pillion rider on the activa ... The driver... another lady friend of ours went home immediately with bruises on her arm ... funny isn't it ...

And not to forget .... both the ladies hv still not watched Delhi 6 ... and neither have the others who were there on the 4th floor for 2 days .... !!!!

Countdown begins.....

What a year...!!!
Few days more and it will be all a thing of the past...

So, what 'did' happen in this entire year...?

On a personal front, this year was an astonishing one for me.. It all started with complete lack of future knowledge, plans and what not...
As the year progressed things got better, future got a bit clearer albeit partially..!! Fortunately as the year's ending I hope that things are in perspective right now...!!

Ok....enough of personal things...lets move on...

On a societal front, its been a roller coaster ride for India and the world in general..
What a year.. At one point we have the Nuclear Deal, the Chandrayaan Mission and what not...
and yes that stupid river...haan "KOSI"...didn't it have any other way to go??
Also there was that Malegoan incident...(personally I don't even know what, when or how it happened and neither who did it.. )

As people were coming in terms with all these events...and thought the year would end on a good note...... Baaaaaaaanng... These imbecile terrorists come and strike our financial capital...yes... MUMBAI.
Didn't these people have anything better to do than going around aimlessly and emptying their weapons on innocent people...??

I mean what kind of stupid shit is this..?? Can't these people understand that, for whatever reason they are doing this is not logical... Either these "people" have no logical thinking ability or they have completely lost their f****** brains....

As a matter of fact these guys should and can only do one constructive job... write a book on "How To Brainwash and Make People Do Stupid Things "

And yes, how can we miss out our "great media"...!! Great work done by them...especially the print media.. In those 4 black days, even a small child could design the next day's headline...!!
How did these ppl even have the f****** b**** to put up gory pics of burning buildings and bloody floors on their front pages?????

It was like these ppl were like an encouragement to the imbeciles we are talking about..It was like glorifying the acts done by them... I mean, why in the world do u want a person to start his day by looking at horrifying pics of bloodshed and all ??
And please, it wouldn't have affected the sales, had those pics been printed on the inside pages..
There was enough good and pleasant news that could be given prominence..
Did these people ever give atleast half a front page to Vishy Anand's accomplishments..??
Was Team India's historic win given that much importance...??

What I mean to say is those horrific acts were to be given importance, but why the front page..??
Its the page you first look at... What kind of impression would it make..??
C'mon people think... Its very logical.. !!

Nyways all can I do is express my opinions.. and hope the media realises it... Cause sooner the better...

My title is a bit misleading though... I accept... Couldn't help it... had not planned what to write.. just penned down what came to mind..

So in all the year's not ending on a good note... Everybody has to deal with it..
Some people got their expectations fullfilled, some did not and some also got the unexpected..

So ending this...
As for me it was a pretty decent year with my long time expectation still unfulfilled... !!

Last few months...

Puzzled by the title??...well don't be..
read on....

10 months before.. i did not know where i was headed... a complete personal chaos was in the making... I was still occupied somehow with the "present situations" at hand.... These situations ranged from silly questions like "Now where do we have dinner tonight?" .... to questions of a lifetime.. !! Now try imagining the the build up to the chaos...

Then there was the final obstacle ...--> "the final year exam".... Gave it as usual, but with a different thought in mind...!!

May be the "different thought" helped and i overcame the obstacle gracefully...At the end of it all only one but a major question remained => "Now what?"

It was a hard 2 months wait before the question was finally answered. I don't know what kept me going... was it the loss of choices ... or ... the faith in destiny... i m still clueless ..

But Lady Luck (or perhaps lets just say my "hard work") paid off and here I am today.... persuing my PG...

(btw looking at the current financial scenario, i feel that what happened was and is for the good)

Its been a wonderful journey since..............What else do i want... The course is good, new friends, new campus, ..... in short a new life...!! It really does feel good, now that i have got things, albiet partially, in perspective...
Though a few bouts of nostalgia do occur sometimes ... it always helps me to rekindle my energy sources within.. Definately, my past 4 years have tremendously helped in forging me as a person that i am today..

So all in all it was a rocky patch that existed but not a difficult one.. i must confess..

Finally,... the present is what it is...

untill then...........

(PS : This is purely a piece of fiction. Try to treat it as it is. However as I do not have control over your thoughts, I claim no responsibility for your interpretations ...!!!)

seriously da limit has reached for me.....ata tar kharach awaraaaa !....
first of all ..tya saddistic, unrealistic, vikrut aani abhutpurva bundal serials kay enough navtya ka??...
secondly why do ppl hv 2 remember or even mention da creator's name and i mean ...anywhere??

height zaali ...wen i heard a news on tv dat ek has got a dental job done on her teeth...lolz(not mentioning the tv channel for the sake of their "trp")....
i mean y da hell is anybody...or atleast the common public interested in knowing dat ???
khara sangaycha tar its not a news in the first place itself ...

Doesn't ek understand dat the serials dat r being made are not even trying to help ppl with tp...leave aside entertainment.....

aani ata vikruti chi height.....i had been 2 a shopping mall 2day and to my utter surprise i found a brand of inscence sticks being promoted by ek....
my first reaction was ..... omg ....hv the k-serials been thrown off air .....?? but then to add to my disappionted surprise was the obvious fact.....

but seriously duly supporting and acknowledging ek's creative mind.....i desparately hope that sumthing very innovative, original and theatre boosting material be soon brought up....and fast...

mhane pravachan !!!

Mahit nahi .. pan meech asa vichar karat aseen bahutek....comment on it plzz..

First things first.....mala "pravachan" ya shabdacha artha neet mahit nahiye .. pan tari mi lihinar ahe..

pravachan ha prakar aaj-kal navinach suru zaalay.. konihi yeta aani pravachana vagaire karta ani jata.... arre awaraaa !!!

sagla manya ahe ki hi so called pravachana karnari loka khup dnyani vagaire astil.....arre pan te je kahi sangatat tyat kahi naval kinva bhari vatat nahi mala...

i feel that they speak all philosophical....and wrt my previous post....philosophy vagaire as kashi nasta.....

cmon ppl ..apply some practical knowledge..seriously think over b4 u attend any "pravachan"..

its not that i am against all these ppl ..pan seriously aaplyakade higher priority chi kaama astat..
as for the senior citizens.... i think dey r mature enough to understand my opinion....

aani kay ho ?? he pravachan mhanje kay... kahitari spritual ,GOD related boltat ani kahi life related funde !!.. barobar ani agdi vyavasthit bolat astil !!! pan hech bolana kinva tya "facts" aaplyala realize nahi ka hou shakat?? why do we need these ppl 4 dat...

not to mention names ... but tumhi jar yoga vagaire shikavnar asal tar theek ahe.... i m ready...pan jar tatvadnyan sagnar asal tar sorry....i m not interested...

Philosophy....???

Khup divasanpasun lihiycha hota......pan shevti aaj lihitoy(29th feb 08)..
nywayz

vishay zara vichatra ahe...

Philosophy==>the rational investigation of the truths and principles of being, knowledge, or conduct.

but i am of the opinion that philosophy vagaire asa kahi nasta..... I mean ki....da word exists pan as a concept it doesn't... for me...

As per the meaning stated (me svataha tayar kela nahiye te.. !!)... it is the investigation of truth...

so...konala kahitari realize hota ani te bolun dakhavla jata...mhanun ti vyakti kahitari "bhari" (PS: ikde philosophical artha ghene) bolali asa vatata.....

pan in da end philosophy is just the truth spoken out publicly....its just a matter of time b4 others realize it.....

so basically maza point itkach ahe ki....philosophy is just a truth spoken out publicly... but realization of this truth is relative for each and everyone....

tyamule tension not....konitari lai bhaari bolala tari ekdum wah wah karu naka... its a matter of time dat u realize it !!!

PS : plz do not treat this post as a philosophy in itself !!
